I love the simplicity of this piece. The feeling that it is a piece of scratch paper, which is often how I take notes or jot down my thoughts before I begin painting. It feels raw and real, not covered up with a lot of color or paint. It's just my words, which is sometimes all there is. I'm grateful to have a canvas to put them on because it's not always as easy for me to speak words, or for them to come out how I intend for them to when I do. When i "speak" to my canvas there is no right or wrong, that's a very healing experience.
